Amendment to Kennel Club Regulations (January 01, 2008)

AMENDMENT TO KENNEL CLUB REGULATION FOR THE DEFINITION OF CLASSES

At its meeting on 24th April 2007, the General Committee amended the definition of the Limit and Mid Limit Classes. Whilst these changes do not alter the eligibility for these classes, it was considered important that the definitions were clarified, particularly in respect overseas exhibitors to aid their understanding.

The term “show champion” is used in both class definitions to differentiate between breed show champions and champion dogs from the working disciplines eg obedience, agility, working trials.  The Regulation changes become effective on 1st January 2008, and all show schedules for shows held on or after this date should include these new class definitions.
